Outtakes from the Reiss Show Styling Frenzy

As you know, Reiss is hosting its first fashion show/DJ Party/Art exhibition here in Boston tomorrow (you might still be able to RSVP to Reissboston@reissusa.com). There will be three separate shows featuring looks from the SS12 collection, which is inspired by 90's California by way of 1940's Poolside style. Get more awesome than that.

I've styled the Womenswear looks for all three shows - all the clothing is unreal, so it was hard to choose just 9 outfits!

Here are some of the semi-finalists that didn't make it into the show, but are too magical not to post.

Camilla Dress, $210. Marli Jacket, $745

Naveen Skirt, $245

AND, the dress I picked up for myself to wear:
Bridge Dress, $340

If this whets your appetite for British fashion, come see the final nine choices tomorrow evening at 132 Newbury Street from 7-10pm.

Awards Show Makeup

A few nights ago, my darling friend Elena K, a makeup artist and aesthetician at La Residencia, gave me an at-home makeover. We discussed some looks together, and because I wear dramatic cat-eye liner pretty much everyday, I wanted her to try something outrageously dramatic. And here it is! This is Oscar-worthy makeup if I ever saw it...! I love the shading and color gradation she did on my eyes, and the strong lip (courtesy of Chanel) is fearless!

Beautiful People/Beautiful Things

It's been a long time coming, little kittens. For a while now, Scorpion Disco's tagline has been "Beautiful People/ Beautiful Things". While I always aim to bring you the latest and greatest in the visually pleasing, I am now going to do a daily segment dedicated to the most gorgeous person and thing of the day. Yes, every day! (If I miss a day, I'll put a penny in the swear jar. But it won't come to that - I've got a huge stockpile oh photos and images that I've been saving up!)

So, here's your first dose of Beautiful Person/Beautiful Thing.

NYFW FW12 Photo Diary

NYFW last week was, as always, amazing and overwhelming!! Here are some of my images from my whirlwind visit.

My outfit for the shows - I chose to stay warm over dying for the sake of fashion. But I caught the attention of Street Style photo Christopher Macsurak, dutifully snapping away after the Sachin and Babi show.

An arresting look from Norisol Ferrari.

Photogs poised for attack at Rolando Santana

A jetlag banishing drink at VBar

Coco and Breezy, twins, and sunglasses designers.

Anna Dello Russo, interviewed by Glamour inside the Lincoln Center after Vera Wang

BFF's Kelly Osbourne and Angela Simmons. (Sidebar: Kelly looked ridiculously gorgeous. Full disclosure - I never thought she was attractive, but seeing her live at NYFW, she is looking better than ever! And her confidence and bubbliness is really contagious!)

My hero, Joan Rivers, who also looked disarmingly gorgeous!! A little more nip tuck?

Backstage at Sachin and Babi

The Sachin and Babi runway - more reviews and backstage photos to come!

As always, I leave NYFW newly energized and inspired. Already counting down the days until September!!

Movement at Sachin and Babi

This skirt from Sachin and Babi's FW12 show in New York on Valentine's Day springs to life with each step.

Norisol Ferrari FW12 Leather and Lace

A showstopping piece at Norisol Ferrari's NYFW Fall/Winter 12 show on Valentine's Day. Reminds me of a barbarian Bonnie from Bonnie and Clyde.

Leaving London

Sorry I haven't checked in in over a week -- I've been having the most perfect family vacation in London, and have so much to show and tell.

For now, here's a quick photo my sister-in-law took while we were exploring, getting lost, and stumbling upon Knightsbridge, home to some amazing Vintage shops that were overflowing with Chanel tweed jackets, Fendi bags, and Lanvin silk evening wear. Score!
