This is exactly what I think Ladies Who Lunch will look like in another 25 or so years. Very Judy Jetston meets Lady Gaga meets Wisteria Lane, oui? I find it entirely inspiring.

Black and Blue
Pants - Topshop
Boots - Lucky Brand
Belt - Rand-o belt from high school (knowing me in high school, either hottopic or delias)
I think this can be a go-to look for fall...Its warm enough to keep out the autumn chill, but not too bulky - perfect for under a light, army-inspired coat. The pants are actually rather light, and I am just about done with them...there's something about the cut that is not totally flattering. They are also made out of a light material that has almost no stretch or give -- I think I'd prefer a softer wool or something that isn't so clingy but has a little more structure on its own.
Other things I want, nay, NEED for fall:
Chunky, collared wrap sweater to wear with a huge scarf and leggings
Brightly colored scarf
MORE sweater dresses
High-heeled "hiking" boots like these from Kenneth Cole-
What are you guys looking forward to for fall?
Cheers,
Renata

After the Fall
Gagaloo falls in Noritaka Tatehana’s “Night Makers”. Womp womp. Happens to the best of us, oui?

Let Them Eat Cake
Here are some photos from my lovely engagement party earlier today and the beautiful homemade desserts me and my grandma made -- she made, I iced and decorated.
My grandma threw me this gorgeous party at her residence (cheetah print wall-paper and all -- my hero!!) and it was just perfect!!! There were no less than four amazing cakes, plus cookies, champagne, cheeses, chocolates...and real food too, that was no less ridiculously sinfully yum!
The dress is from Park Bravo in Istanbul, and it this wonderful stretch cotton. I love the unexpected bright, retro florals, and I'm counting on this dress to carry me into fall with some chunky sweaters, motorcycle boots and (artfully) ripped tights.
Anyway, Im so thankful for today and for my wonderful family and friends that shared it with me!

Renata

Dog Days
Like I mentioned a couple posts ago, I am really missing my dog Portia, and since I am in Istanbul and experiencing real dog days of summer (its super hot!!!) I figured I'd post some other really awesome people like me who love their dogs. I'd love to post pictures of you guys and your dogs if you want to send me some -- send to dockstreetrenata@gmail.com. In the meantime, here are some glitterati and their pooches:

Oh no, they DIDN'T.
I am doing a slow-clap for Sisley and their Summer 2007 ad-campaign. I know I'm a little late, and I have no idea how this slipped past my radar, but... HA!

MyMu...MyWho?
Has anyone heard of these ridiculously chic flat espadrilles? They come in about 4 styles and countless colors/prints, and are impossibly cool and effortless. I love the ad campaign, which is equal parts smutty and classic, kind of like the MyMu Girl/Guy.

MYMU creator Gabriela Lanardonne was raised between Buenos Aires and Manhattan, and both those worlds collided when she combined the traditionally cool, functional alpargatas with New York's functional, comfortable sensibility and a quality high enough to withstand constant pavement pounding.
Most of the shoes run (no pun intended) around $160-180, and are cotton canvas + jute.
Love.
Cheers,
Renata
