On Sunday, I got together with my dad's side of the family to celebrate an early Passover, and then with my mom's side to celebrate an early Easter. By the end of the day, all I wanted to do was curl up in a ball in bed and watch movies -- which I did. (Coco Avant Chanel.)

Here are the little Easter Bunnies I made for both family dinners -- They are made with Marzipan, which I rolled into a ball and pinched a little bit to form the head. The ears are made from almond slivers, and then I dipped them fondue-style into melted milk chocolate. The eyes and tail are made with frosting. Pretty simple, but working with chocolate is a little tricky, and it took almost an hour to harden. So, what I'm trying to say is, don't attempt to make these on a Sunday morning when you are already late thinking that it will be a quick and easy alternative to baking a cake. But, they were delicious and, I'd venture to say, slightly more adorable than a cake, oui?

  1. Ohmygosh, those bunnies are probably the cutest thing I've seen all day. Yum!

  2. too cute, love the tails.

  3. Oh, looks so tasty! Knowing Im crazy about marzipan..ahh, want some now :D

  4. Ackk, stop tempting with those sweet treats! They look sooo good! The bunnies are adorable!

  5. awww...those bunnies are sooo cute! Did you enjoy Coco Avant Chanel? I haven't seen it yet, because I was afraid that it'd be a bit boring. I finally got around to seeing Valentino: The Last Emperor this weekend and I loved it...but not as much as The September Issue!

Thanks for Sharing the Love!
